Arthur Online?

Arthur Online is an online system that supports people with disabilities. Through this system, specialist support workers will provide support to the intended users. This support is provided via remote consultation using Skype. The specialist support worker will monitor the users’ activities and responses through their individual computers or mobile devices.

Drip?

Drip is a device that connects to home phones and computers. When people with disabilities use the telephone, Drip will send electronic signals to the user’s computer or mobile device. Using this signal, the user can contrp his or her environment through speaking or typing commands.

Integration of Arthur Online and Drip

This project aims to integrate Arthur Online and Drip in order to improve quality of life for people with disabilities. The integration of these two systems provides the fplowing benefits:

  • Reduce cost

By integrating Arthur Online and Drip, it allows multiple users to access the same systems at the same time while reducing the cost. For example, if there are five users registered in one Arthur Online system, only one user has to pay the entire fee for all five users. This means that each user will only have to pay half of the normal cost. In this way, the cost will be reduced from RM250 per month to RM125 per month. In addition to that, it also reduces the need for multiple software packages, which reduces the complexity of setting up a support system for each user.

  • Increase accessibility

In order to access Arthur Online through a computer, a keyboard mouse is needed. However, most people with disabilities do not have a computer with a keyboard and mouse. By combining with Drip, users can simply speak into a microphone attached to a headset and they can then activate a command on their computer. This is beneficial because it allows for increased accessibility among users. In addition to that, it also helps reduce social ispation by increasing communication between users and their relatives and friends. In addition to that, it increases security for users who may become vulnerable to intruders when they are alone at home or in a public place.

  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery

By integrating Arthur Online and Drip, it makes it possible for specialist support workers to monitor the user in real-time. As a result, the specialist support worker can respond more quickly when users require assistance or they can guide them in a better way. For example, if a user needs assistance with cooking dinner, he or she can call on his or her support worker who can then help him or her cook dinner. In addition to that, it also allows specialist support workers to complete tasks such as taking medication more efficiently and effectively because they can do it remotely rather than needing to go physically to the client’s house or office.

  • Improve communication between users and specialist support workers

Since communication between users and their support workers is done remotely, they can talk to each other even though they are far apart from each other. This means that communication between them is no longer limited by physical distances. In addition to that, communication is also done faster than traditional communication methods such as phone calls or text messages due to the use of an application such as Skype. This allows communication between them to be more effective and efficient than traditional communication methods such as phone calls or text messages due to the use of an application such as Skype. For example, if a specialist support worker needs to communicate with his or her client at night but his or her client is asleep at the time, he or she can simply send a message over Skype instead of calling him or her at night and waking him or her up unnecessarily. Similarly, if a client sends an email at night but does not receive any response from his or her specialist support worker until morning, he or she might worry about whether their emails were read by their specialist support worker if they do not receive any response immediately. However, if they use Skype for communication, they can be assured that their specialist support worker has seen their messages even though they do not reply immediately because they are asleep at night. As a result, it improves communication between clients and their specialist support workers which results in higher levels of trust between the two parties. It also improves efficiency because specialists can respond faster than traditional methods such as phone calls or text messages due to the use of an application such as Skype.

  • Improve safety for users without caregiver support at home

By integrating Arthur Online and Drip, it allows specialist support workers to monitor their clients at home even when they are alone without any caregiver beside them. This prevents situations where clients neglect themselves due to loneliness or feeling abandoned since their specialist support workers are always watching over them via Skype whenever they need assistance with activities such as taking medication or cooking dinner even when they are alone at home. If any emergency occurs, they can call on their specialist support workers who will be able to respond faster by using Skype instead of being limited by physical distances after conventional methods such as phone calls or text messages have failed to connect them successfully. In addition to that, it also reduces the chance of any other person entering their homes uninvited since their doors are locked electronically through Drip’s infrared sensors which detect anyone entering their homes. This means that other people cannot enter their homes unless they have permission from their specialist support workers first because Drip detects who enters their homes electronically through infrared sensors instead of physically checking whether someone else entered their homes physically. As a result, it helps improve safety for people with disabilities who live alone without caregiver support at home by preventing them from neglecting themselves due to feelings of loneliness or abandonment since they will always have someone watching over them via Skype whenever they need assistance with activities such as taking medication or cooking dinner even when they are alone at home. It also helps prevent intruders from entering their homes uninvited since their doors are locked electronically through Drip’s infrared sensors which detect anyone entering their homes without permission from their specialist support workers first because Drip detects who enters their homes electronically through infrared sensors instead of physically checking whether someone else entered their homes physically without permission from their specialist support workers first because Drip detects who enters their homes electronically through infrared sensors instead of physically checking whether someone else entered their homes physically
