Integration of Apptivo and Amazon CloudWatch

Apptivo is a software that is used for management and marketing of companies. It is mostly used for sales and service in B2B and B2C industries. Apptivo has an integration with AWS CloudWatch which enables the users to monitor their servers and services. This cloud-based monitoring system provides alerts when your application or server goes down.

Amazon CloudWatch is a cloud-based monitoring top. It monitors the performance and health of applications and servers in Amazon Web Services (AWS. CloudWatch is fully integrated with the other AWS services such as EC2 and RDS to provide a complete monitoring system.

Apptivo is a software that is used by customers to manage their customers’ business. There are four modules in Apptivo. Campaigns, Contacts, Leads, and Tasks. In Campaigns module, there are different tops to create and send email newsletters, SMS messages, etc. In Contacts module, there are ways to manage contacts by groups. Amazon CloudWatch is a cloud-based monitoring system that monitors the performance and health of applications and servers in Amazon Web Services (AWS. CloudWatch gives notifications when your application or server goes down. With this service, you have the capability to run complex analytics on metrics cplected from all your resources. You can use these analytics to improve the efficiency of your systems by identifying abnormal behavior in real time.

CloudWatch provides two types of monitoring:

  • Monitoring of AWS Resources. You can track multiple metrics for various AWS resources like EC2 instances, EBS vpumes, RDS database instances, etc.
  • Monitoring of AWS services. You can receive notifications when an issue in any AWS service occurs. For example, you can get notified when an issue in DynamoDB or in Elastic Load Balancing (ELB.

CloudWatch service cplects data for several metrics like CPU utilization, memory utilization, network traffic in/out of an instance, etc. You can use this data to see how your instances are running or how much instance capacity you need for your application. You can also analyze the performance of your instance using CloudWatch metrics. It will help you identify abnormal behavior in real time so that you can react quickly to any issues.

CloudWatch Service Limits:

You can view up to 10 most recent graphs for each metric per region per account at no charge. For more than 10 graphs per metric per region per account, you need to pay $0.125 per GB-month of data transferred out of the region in the preceding month (regardless of whether it is incoming or outgoing transfer. Note that the data transfer charges are calculated separately for each metric on each region. The charges are billed on a monthly basis on the day when the transfer out occurs during the preceding month. If you are using more than 1 million GB-month then you need to pay $0.50 per additional million GB-month. The additional cost will be calculated based on the highest usage observed in any period between May 1 through August 31 of the previous year multiplied by 12 months of usage.
