RingCentral is a communications platform that enables businesses to deliver and receive phone calls, voice mail, and faxes on any device.RingCentral is a cloud-based phone system that connects people, teams, and organizations through secure cloud-based contact centers, mobile apps, and customizable business applications across all major devices and platforms.

Amazon EC2 and RingCentral Connection:

  • With AWS you can build your own private cloud, use Amazon's public cloud or create a hybrid solution using both. In this scenario we are connecting EC2 with RingCentral.
  • With EC2 you can launch an entire Amazon Machine Image (AMI. of your own private cloud or or use one of hundreds of pre-built Amazon Machine Images (AMIs. to get started quickly.
  • An AMI is an encrypted computer image that includes the operating system, an application, and data. You can launch an instance from an AMI by making an API call or using the AWS Management Console.
  • Once you have a running instance, you can start adding additional applications and services to it.
  • You can choose from several types of instances in the AWS family including micro instances, standard instances, high memory instances, and high CPU instances. Each type of instance has different levels of compute power, storage capacity, and cost.
  • You can also choose whether to run your instance on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2. or on Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3.

7. There are two main types of EC2 instances. On-demand instances and reserved instances. An on-demand instance can be stopped or restarted at any time with no upfront payment required. A reserved instance requires an upfront payment but it is less expensive than an on-demand instance over time.7. If you want to quickly create a new instance without having to pay upfront for a reserved instance, then you can submit an Amazon EC2 Spot Instance request. When you submit a request in the AWS Management Console, Amazon searches for an unused instance within your selected AWS Region that has the same characteristics as the one you requested and launches it when the unused instance becomes available. Spot Instances are typically between 30% and 70% cheaper than On-Demand Instances and can save you up to 90% compared to On-Demand Instances.8. The process of moving customer workloads into the cloud is called migration. We migrate a customer's workload from their existing network to the cloud by copying the data to S3 and then launching an instance that accesses the data in S3. Customers can migrate data to S3 by using the AWS Storage Gateway or third party tools such as VMware vCenter Converter or NetApp's ONTAP Cloud Sync.9. AWS provides a way to monitor performance metrics for your instances in realtime by using CloudWatch . CloudWatch collects metrics about your EC2 instances, such as CPU utilization and available disk space, from the operating system on each instance. You can configure your instances to send performance metrics directly to CloudWatch using Simple Notification Service (SNS. You can also send emails and text messages when CloudWatch alarms are triggered. CloudWatch alarms help you identify and resolve problems with your applications so that they perform as expected.

  • To get started with RingCentral , you first need a RingCentral account . Then sign into your account and click "Add-ons" on the left side of your screen. Select "Phone System" from the list of add-ons.
  • Click "Start Free Trial" on the right side of the page under "Phone System." Your trial will begin immediately after you enter some basic information about your business like its name and address information.
  • The RingCentral Phone System is made up of two parts. RingCentral Office Mobile App and RingCentral Office Phone System . The RingCentral Office Mobile App allows users to make calls using their mobile devices while the RingCentral Office Phone System allows users to use IP phones to make calls.
