Moosend is a free web service that allows you to easily send files from one user to another, even if they don’t have an email account. Moosend is great for sending large files, like photos, video or music files, as it can transfer data up to 10MB, unlike other file-transfer services that are limited by size or number of files. Furthermore, it’s easy to build an Amazon S3 integration into any website, so that users can quickly upload files to Amazon S3 without leaving your site. Moosend’s Amazon S3 integration is also compatible with Amazon S3 event notifications, allowing you to automate actions when files are uploaded or deleted from your buckets.
Sign up for Amazon EC2 account and Moosend account. To create a moosend account, go to the website https://moosend.com/ . Click “Sign Up now” on the top right corner of the website and fill out all the information asked. After filling out all the information, click “Create Account” button. You will receive an email to confirm your account. Confirm your account to finish the process. Go to “Settings” on your moosend account, locate “API Key” section and then copy your API key. To create an Amazon EC2 account, go to the website http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/ and click “Sign Up Free Trial” on the top right corner of the website. Fill out all the information asked, click “Continue” button at the end of the page, fill out all the information again and then click “Continue” button at the end of the page again. You will receive an email to confirm your account. Confirm your account to finish the process. You will be directed to the AWS conspe homepage once you have confirmed your account. Sign in AWS conspe with your Amazon EC2 username and password. Go to “Your Security Credentials” at the left panel under “My Account” tab, locate “Access Keys” section and then copy your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key.
Go to Moosend’s website. https://moosend.com/ . Click “Start using Moosend” on the top right corner of the website and then sign in with your moosend account credential. Click “Sending Files” in the left panel of the website, enter a recipient email address in the “To” box, enter a filename in the “File Name” box, enter a description in the “Description” box if needed and then click “Upload” button. When prompted, choose “Amazon S3” in the drop-down menu for a storage location, enter your Access Key ID for authentication and then click “Save Settings” button. After uploading your files to Amazon S3 bucket, go back to Moosend’s website. https://moosend.com/ . Click “Send a File” in the left panel of the website again and fill out all information except Access Key ID which has been filled out previously. Then click “Send It Now!” button and you will be able to see moosend sending files to Amazon S3 bucket. Go to AWS conspe homepage and log in with your Amazon EC2 username and password again. Go to “Amazon S3 Conspe” under “Storage & Content Delivery” tab, locate buckets section and find your bucket. Once found, click on it, then click “Properties” tab, locate “Integrate with Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)” section and choose action type as either “Event Notifications” or “SNS Topic Subscription” according to your need, then choose topic name which you will be notified by email when new objects have been uploaded to this bucket from moosend website as well as choose notification target which you will receive an email when new objects have been uploaded to this bucket from moosend website accordingly. That’s all! Now you have successfully integrated Amazon EC2 with moosend!
