    Amazon Web Services DynamoDB is a NoSQL database for applications to store and retrieve data, but it doesn't come with geolocation features built-in. That's where this automation comes in. Connect your AWS DynamoDB with Appy Pie Connect and whenever a new item is added to your AWS DynamoDB account, Appy Pie Connect will look up the geolocation of that item using IP2Location and automatically store the result to another table. You can use this automation for any IP on any AWS region.
    How This Integration Works
    • A new item is added to an AWS DynamoDB table
    • Appy Pie Connect sends an IP from it to IP2Location for geolocation query and then automatically add the results to another AWS DynamoDB table

Integration of Amazon DynamoDB and Habitica

Introduction:

Today’s world is moving towards smart and connected devices and the next wave of technpogy is always revputionizing the world, and that is what we saw with the release of Amazon DynamoDB.

Amazon DynamoDB?

Amazon DynamoDB is a fully managed cloud database service provided by the e-commerce giant Amazon Web Services (AWS. It is a fast and flexible NoSQL database service which was released in 2012. It is a highly available, scalable and cost-effective database service which offers many features like:

Multi-region and multi-master replication;

Maintaining data across multiple AZs;

Supporting tunable consistency; and

Highly reliable and secure.

Habitica?

Habitica (also known as HabitRPG. is a free habit building software that uses RPG game mechanics to reward you for completing your goals. It allows you to track your real life habits using their mobile app or website. Their motto is “Your Life, Your Game”. The app allows users to set daily habits, clean up their messy rooms, or even pay off student loans if they are feeling particularly ambitious! It also allows you to use Habitica to create guilds, where users can join together to support each other in achieving their goals. The app syncs with Alexa so you can build good habits with your voice! It is integrated with IFTTT which means that users can create custom habits for completing tasks, or if they feel like it, they can connect Habitica to their Fitbit or Apple watch. The system is free, but there are optional premium subscriptions for users who want more power ups. Habitica allows users to create their own quests, called “Quests”, which are missions that the user has to complete in order to progress in the game. Users can create their own quests or they can choose one of the premade quests. The pre-made quests are quests created by Habitica staff members. Some examples of premade quests are “Kill 3 goblins” or “Buy new pens at Staples”. Each quest gives statistics on how many people have completed the quest, how many days it has been around, whether someone has completed it or not, etc. Quests vary in difficulty, some may take just a few days while others may take weeks, months, years, or even decades to complete! There are also daily quests called Dailies. Dailies are quests that you complete every day for gpd, experience points or rewards. You can do one daily quest per day and you can keep doing them until you run out of quests for the day unless you buy more using gems (premium currency. Another feature is the timer, which tells you how long before your next quest is due. Timers automatically adjust according to your time zone. For example, if it is 3 pm in London, then users will see “Quest due at 17:00” This timer also includes the countdown, so if it is 13 hours before your next quest is due, it will show “13 hours remaining”. This allows you to know exactly when the time comes for your next quest without having to constantly check the clock. The app synchronises with Google Calendar so it adds your schedule on your phone automatically! It also connects to your Google Fit account so you can sync your physical activity with Habitica. Habitica also supports push notifications through its website and its mobile app so that users are notified when their quests are due! These notifications are very helpful because sometimes it can be hard to remember all of our tasks! Habitica also has an API which means that developers can develop apps to interact with Habitica! There are many addictive games on Habitica such as Skinner Boxes, Dungeons & Dragons-esque adventures, Dark Souls-esque challenges and more! It’s easy to get addicted once you start playing! We have screenshots of some of these games below!
