Amazon CloudWatch is a web service that provides monitoring for your Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2. instances, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3. objects and other AWS resources. Amazon CloudWatch monitors these resources and delivers metrics to Amazon CloudWatch, which are used to generate alarms.With the integration of Amazon CloudWatch and Kintone, you can easily create dashboards based on cloudwatch metrics so that you can monitor your cloud environment easily.

    Integration of Amazon CloudWatch and Kintone

To integrate CloudWatch with Kintone, you can use an API request. The following steps show you how to do this:

  • Create an S3 Bucket with the name aws-cloudwatch-kintone-metrics .
  • Create a key pair with the name kintone-aws-keypair in the S3 bucket. You can save it as a .pem file.
  • Set up a user in IAM with the following IAM permissions:
  • Login to Kintone as an administrator and choose Settings > App Center > Add App > API Access.
  • Fill in the settings as follows:
  • Once the REST API access is added, choose Settings > App Center > Add App > API Access, select the REST API access that was just created, and click Add App API Key.
  • Add the following content to the description field:
  • Choose Settings > App Center > Add App > API Access, select the REST API access that was just created, and click Update App API Key.
  • In the Configure section, add the following parameters:
  • Click Save to complete the configuration settings.
  • After completing the above steps, you can create a new query that shows the data from CloudWatch, as shown in the following example:
