3Dcart is a shopping cart software that allows you to sell products online, adding new features like Blog, Forum, Downloads etc., it has an SEO friendly URL structure, integrated with Google Analytics, PayPal payment option (US and International), tax calculation, integration of different languages, easy administration, supports multiple currencies, custom fields etc.
Quick Base is a software application that enables a company to manage all its data in one place, giving the ability to edit or delete anything, without having to update any other database. It helps companies with their business intelligence and in the same time with their operations.
Integration of 3Dcart and Quick Base:
1. In order for 3Dcart to integrate with Quick Base, we must first install the Quick Base Server on a Windows server of our choice, after that we must select the option "Enable Access to External Applications" and then add a username and password for each Quick Base user. After this step we must go to the Admin menu in the left side of our screen and select Database Servers -> Add New Server -> Local Server. After that we put the local IP address into the field and press "Add". Now the connection between 3Dcart and Quick Base is established. After that we need to go to Admin > Integration -> Manage Integrations and click on "Add" to add a new integration. Here we will enter the name of our integration and select the correct action from the drop down menu. Then we have to create a group. Groups are used to organize products in a more efficient way. For example if we want to sell costumes online we can create a group called "Costumes" and inside this group we can add different costumes. Then we can assign this group as a category for each product and display the products by category instead of alphabetically. After creating a group we must save it in the left side box and then click on "Apply Changes". Now we can add a new product to 3Dcart. We will add a product called "Superman Costume" with two variations on it - the blue one and the red one. On the next step we can enter information about the categories for this product and also add some information about the product itself (such as size or cpor. In the last step we will select the group which was created before and choose that this product will be displayed under this category.After adding a new product to 3Dcart, we must go to Settings > Global Settings > Configure Quick Base Integration and fill out some information about our Quick Base setup. We must also fill out the fields "Quick Base Users" and "User ID". The "Quick Base Users" field is used to identify our users on Quick Base and the User IDs are the actual IDs of our users on Quick Base (which were created in step 2. After filling out these fields we must save our settings and then go back to our product page where we will see 5 fields which we haven't seen before. These are special fields which are only used for integration with Quick Base, in these fields we can put some special information about our products such as weight or dimensions. Another important thing is that while editing a product, we can see at the bottom of our screen an extra field with a button that says "Manage Fields". This button is used to manage all of our fields inside of 3Dcart (with or without Quick Base integration. By clicking this button we will be redirected to an interface where we will see all of our fields divided into groups.3Dcart offers us an opportunity to manage all of our products in one place, making it easier for us to make changes about them (if needed), also if any customer needs support, he/she can always contact us through an integrated ticket system which provides him/her with an answer much faster than if they had to contact us by email. The last thing I want to mention here is that 3Dcart's exporting tops allow us to export all of our products in a CSV file which is very useful when working on other platforms like Quick Base.4.
